i probably would have gotten a broomstick, attached the camera to it, and then wedged the handle between the couch and the wall…
i don’t know if the tape doesn’t stick enough, or if the wall is just too unsuitable for tape …
The tape is too light to carry any weight. Good for parcels etc. Your idea is probably the better option.

Besides being funny it is a shame that after more than 7 years VHTV is still not able to have a unified and standardized system how to mount cams on different surfaces… 
The sad thing is all it takes is some sticky mounting pads and there cheap as chips
After all the camera gluing yesterday, two cams said goodbye completely overnight and kitchen cam 1 is about to die… 
Maybe a specialist should be hired…
