But people will notice as the only edit that would need doing is if itâs a 2nd consecutive post and it would be the current last post in the topic, topics I follow I automatically get directed to the last post I read so I will know if the previous post had also changed as well if itâs been edited
Well I donât always remember how the last post in each topic looks. So the chance is high that I just miss an edit.
Well unless they have edited within the cooldown period of a few mins which you would never know if you was not on the forum at that moment then the edit icon appears to inform you itâs been edited
Thatâs right. Still not very comfortable I think.
Many of us have said that recently including Stanley. A perfectly valid point i would say.
Only if you read back posts and i donât always do that.
Hey @robwin, if itâs any consolation, there is one topic where you have free reign. Since the rule does not apply to members who started a topic, you can go on and on in the Funnyâs & Jokes topic. I was just catching up there, and youâve had a few pretty good ones lately. Keepâem coming, pal
Iâm not on about reading back posts, Iâm talking about starting from when you left off, I click on the topic name it takes me to the last post Iâve read with the new posts below
Again punishing everyone for a few (actually, it is only one left) whoâs posting crazy amount of pics everywhere on the forumâŠ
The issue is not generally about how many pics are posted although there is a limit that is asked for, as already explained by VHTV itâs how people are posting the pics is the issue
Always an argument over something it seems, all getting a bit silly now, I think the best way to solve it is not post any then people would have something to moan about that then.
A never ending spiral of confrontation.
Iâm pretty sure you donât need any more encouragement to do any more moaning then you already do on here
There was talk of a cooldown period. How long is this cooldown time between a participantâs posts? i.e. until you can post again, even if nobody has posted anything else in between?
There isnât, it never was. This is the problem (nobody posting anything in between) and the reason why sometimes there are few consecutive posts from the same person. It happened to me that even after a day or more nobody posted anything in the Topic i wanted to post a pic. Returning, editing and adding a new pic in the previous post after many hours or even 2 or 3 days, doesnât make any sense.
As @John78 has mentioned, there doesnât seem to be a cooldown between posts
I agree it makes as much sense as posting 1 screenshot in 1 post and then posting 1 screenshot in a consecutive post 10 mins later
I know, i understood this already. It is about posting single pics one after other. Still doesnât make any sense to limit the number of posts. Having 5 big blocks with pics, i think itâs even worse than having 5 singles. The same applies now for 2
Thatâs why a cooldown period makes much more sense than limiting the number of consecutive posts
If there are so few posts in a thread that itâs been several days since my last post and no one else has posted, it seems like no one is reading it anyway. So why keep posting in it?
Yes, that can happen when the participant is doing something different.
I do agree that, if it is about the same activity in short period of time, it makes sense to add it on the previous post.
