Great Britain is made up by three countries, Scotland - England & Wales. The United Kingdom is Great Britain & Northern Ireland. 
But if there is a Great Britain where is normal sized Britain and Little Britain? 
Well IMO it only became Great with Scotland, so you can decide the rest on your own. 
Correct. People need to be aware of this…I don’t care where they are from.
I have no time for that degree of lack of understanding - it really is the simplest form of geographical knowledge.

That really is a ginormous ask, David. I mean there are 8 billion people on the planet. You can’t really expect even 10% to be aware of that little piece of geographic information.
Sure, you know it because you live there, and I know it, and I’m sure a lot of other people on the forum know it , but that doesn’t mean the guy sitting next to me is going to be aware of it, or even care, for that matter.
There may even be people in the United Kingdom who don’t know that information. There are lots things I don’t know about my country.
Just thinking out loud.
