I now know the answer so posting here for others
I cannot message as a non-Premium, but I understand if they message me I can then reply
Participants can message you, but you may not be able to reply to their messages.
Thanks. Just wish I could afford Premium! LOL. Just one person in particular I wanted to contact
This is the option you may be looking for:
Your time much appreciated, but I would be unable to spare funds going forward. A lesson in my failure to listen to people who said “invest in your pension” when I was younger! LOL
I’m kinda in the same boat I don’t have any money to get a sub cause my money is tied up in everything else so that why I look forward to the giveways and that why I rely so much to the forum so I can stay up to date with everything that goes on believe me If I had the funds I would be a lifetime sub cause I love everything about this site

Can’t even Message you now! LOL
Which error do you see? Also, can you message me?
Hi Kaya - thanks for contacting me. Message is “An error occurred: You are not allowed to message that user” (Philippa)
Will also try messaging you - if you do not get a message you will know it does not work! LOL
Summary - everything is fine, it’s working as expected (can’t PM tenants only)
Golom can only reply to PMs, but cannot message anyone himself.
OK. Wanted to PM a tenant (was using the wrong description, hence confusion)
I believe that he can reply to PM’s from other forum members but not from participants. I can be wrong thru…
I don’t think there should actually be any difference.
I was referring to the message above which could look like he can’t message VHTV
I don’t know, this is what i understood from this statement :
But that does not make sense.
As far as I know, the participants are all in the premium user group. And Golom could respond to messages from me. Why shouldn’t he be able to reply to a message from a participant?
The only problem is that he can’t PM ANYONE on his own. He can only ever answer that.
If I’m wrong, maybe @Kaya could explain. ![]()
It actually makes complete sense. As messaging participants is a fixture included exclusively in the paid premium package, being allowed to bypass it that way, will make the advert a little bit pointless IMO.
