That and getting rid of some of the clutter could drastically improve her living quality in that apartment. Trust me, throwing away lots of stuff can do wonders to lift up your spirits. Like that bean bag, does anybody ever sit on it? Do you need a whiteboard and a blackboard, too? Reduce the number of potted plants and teddy bears? Keep Mr. Pink though, he’s a friend. Move some stuff to the storage room, some other stuff from the storage room to the trash.
These suggestions only apply if she intends to stay in the apartment for the foreseeable future. Having surrendered the bedroom already, maybe she is about ready to move on with her life.
