Old farts some of us might be but most of us old farts, as you put it, when we have guests or friends in the house we don’t all sit round all b___dy night looking at our phones. We do what most normal people would do, have manners and decency and talk to each other, not ignore each other and just stare at a screen all b___dy night.
To be honest i don’t understand what they find to look at hour after hour,day after day on the damn things.
When you have shots of them and the phone screen itself, all they seem to do is just scroll aimlessly through screen after screen often without even stopping very long on each screen.
When they have a bath or a shower or a meal they still the damn phone in their hands as though it’s surgically attached to them. It’s like obsession or d__g to them.
Many of them can’t even have sex without looking at the damn things.
If they had been around in my youth and my girlfriend was looking at her phone whilst i was giving her one i would have stuffed it up her ass or put a hammer in it lol.
I agree modern technology is b___dy marvelous but it shouldn’t run our lives it is there for us as an aid not as a b___dy crutch.

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter to name a few, Social Media there’s no getting away from it for the younger generation.
I have elderly relatives all over the world and one of them is 94 and keeps in touch with them by Facebook, bless her, some of the things she writes on there are so funny e.g. “Just popping out to the garden and be back in ten mins” was one of her statuses messages on FB. 
But that wasn’t the best, they spend hours on their chatting away to each other and one day I caught them criticizing young people stating: These young people of today all they do is waste their time on social media talking about nothing all day and they should be outside playing, but day after day you can find them stuck in FB - well you can imagine what their antagonistic nephew said to them.
I quite agree there are so many social media apps and media outlets but they all seem to be running their lives and the amount they lean on it now is frightening to be honest. So many of them only use it to attack everybody else like keyboard warriors and i suspect most wouldn’t have the guts to say what they do to others in person or they would get a clout across the head or a kick n the bollocks.
I can understand people of her age find it useful to keep in touch that way but we are talking about young people in their vibrant flush of youth.(Maybe an exageration to many on VH )
In my youth many of the young of today wouldn’t have lasted 5 mins on their own

You will be surprised what the youth of today are capable of.
One of my neighbour’s sons was born with damaged nerves in his arm and is paralysed in that arm and has been a frustration all of his life.
So, from the age of 12, he started to research neural networks to see if there was a way that he could transcode the brain’s signals into binary code and then recode it into computer code. At the age of 17, he succeed and went on to try and develop muscle stimulators that could develop into some type of movement for his arm and hand.
He learnt all by himself on his mobile as his m____r couldn’t afford a PC and when he was encouraged to publish his results Havard University in the US saw the results and offered him a scholarship to carry on his work there.
This generation is the first generation that has access to all the world’s knowledge at their fingertips and believe me they make use of it, well at least they do here in Poland
