When we need a name for her I suggest Mriya. It is Ukrainian and means “Dream” or “Inspiration” ![]()
Mriya was the name given to the legendary single Antonov 225, destroyed on the first day of that madness… ![]()
I know. A symbol of Ukrainian strength. But I am sure when all is over they will make a new one. But I like the name. It is just a symbol of hope in the war.

It was develpoed when Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union, so ironically there is a lot of Russian content on that aeroplane. Such a waste!
What a beauty, I actually had an opportunity to see it up close when it visted NZ years ago.
