It depends on how you look at it. It, too, is an optical illusion. I see it both ways.
The colouring of the second one seems a little stronger / more saturated. It’s a lovely picture.
What did you use to enhance it?
This clip filmed i 1905 may well be the first cat video ever. The “movie” is called Le Déjeuner de Minet, which means something like “Lunch for a cat” (if Google served me well).
While doing a little research, I found that the girl in the film is named Estelle Roy de Menditte. She was born in 1892, which made her 13 when this was filmed. Estelle lived a long life afterwards, and passed away in 1988 at the age of 96.
Awesome Image !!
Wow, what a scene…what an amazing sky! Very beautiful.
That is the kind of image I would use to create interesting looks in other images. I would, for example, composite sections such as that patterning effect caused by the rock layering, onto other surfaces in such a way to make them look rather unique.
All in the name of art (some of it quite weird) and fun!
actually this time @crossmyway is % correct , this can be varified by the the concrete lintels on concrete steps can only overhang and not raise-up , in the raised up position they would retain rainwater and also be a trip hazard , , but as you say its supposed to be an optical illusion so obviously people will have differing views , ,the true fact is it all depends on your branis ability to solve problems ,
Not an optical illusion, just the logic you applied with your first comment, about the parts which overhang or would otherwise be a trip hazard.
There’s been some posts with some pretty steep and narrow mountain roads, most of them in China. Here’s another one, also from China. Patience may be a virtue when driving up here, and perhaps even more when going down.
Here’s a collection of some rather bad drivers, and a few pretty sk__led ones too. Like the one that starts at around 3:45…I don’t quite know what to say
Hope the trucks are well maintained . Simply amazing
Oh yes! And I bet the driver hopes that even more than we do.
I agree it looks cooler, but that’s what happens with snow and blue sky or snow in shade, unless it’s corrected, either in camera, or in post production.
The camera captures the light from the blue sky as it shines through the oxygen inside the frozen ice crystals, thereby producing a blue colour. Basically, it’s reflecting the blue of the sky.
I turned down the blue, and made the snow white.
I agree with Laz and understand how lintels work. They can’t be upside down, or you trip on them, and the steps collect water. But, I believe it’s still an optical illusion because it can be seen either way.
Tornado time in USA
A powerful tornado hit the United States. The storm is raging in Nebraska, Iowa and Texas.
Nebraska (especially the small cities of Elkhorn and Bennington) was hit hardest by the disaster. Destruction was also recorded in Texas and Iowa.
According to local media, hundreds of houses were destroyed and several people were injured. At the same time, the peak of the disaster has not yet arrived - it is expected this afternoon.
A C___d in Tennessee got made fun of for his homemade University of Tennessee tee, so UT made it their official shirt! The entire band is wearing it and they sold 16,000 shirts! To top that, they gave the C___d a 4 year scholarship. Great job, humanity wins!!
