The “brain” is a laptop with a learning neural network: first, a person shows how to correctly perform a particular task, and then the robot learns to cope on its own.
The students spent $31,757 on spare parts, and a guide was written for those who wanted to assemble the same assistant.

Many of you probably have heard of Jamie Lee Curtis, actress d______r of late actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.
On the 29th anniversary of the movie True Lies, she shared this picture on the Internet. That’s actually Jamie Lee hanging from that wire (not her stunt double), along with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s stunt double hanging from the skid and James Cameron leaning out of the passenger seat with the camera.
But, before this shot was taken, Jamie Lee flew for 20 minutes hanging from that wire underneath the helicopter to get to the location where the shot was being filmed. She said it was a glorious ride over water.
Her only requirement was that someone have wire cutters, so she could be detached from the helicopter in case it had to ditch over water.
If you’ve seen the movie, you probably remember the scene where Jamie Lee’s character is yanked out of a runaway limousine seconds before it plunges off a bridge. And yes, her stunt double did that shot.
