Holy shit. That pilot should go to jail
The turbulence by flying over such a stadium combined with invisible donwbursts or windshear can bring this bird down in no time.

How on earth can anyone be so reckless? And to fly over it with two planes at once, no less.
All it takes is the slightest thing to go wrong. The wrong wind, the wrong thermals, and a plane ends up on the pitch in the stadium.
And we’re talking about a massive disaster.
Also where do birds prefer to nest? Correct often on roofs or in the nooks and crevices there. Imaging a bird ingestion in both engines at that height ![]()
Look at the first video from second six: You can see the first plane encountering some slight downdraft as it visibly loses altitude and it has to raise the nose. Now imagine that donwdraft a big more severe and the disaster would be there.
Well, the organisers are always keen to come up with something a bit mad. And a rugby match between South Africa and New Zealand is quite a spectacle there. But I doubt the spectators could have seen those planes very well, given the bowl-shaped stadium. The risk is far too great for that. And 12 metres to the roof is incredibly low. And you’re right, stadiums are the most popular breeding grounds for pigeons. Besides, it somehow made me think of 9/11 in New York.

I tried a number of times.. and yes..
The actually saying is something like “braistor” if you listen to it without reading anything. As the words are so distorted and unaudible you will hear of course other things you read.
Man, this mind-fuck is shocking every single time.
Edit: I think I’m broken. I only hear “green needle” now.
I listened with my eyes closed once, and now it doesn’t work anymore.
This is all about frequencies. Depending on which word you read your brain will focus on higher (Green Needle) or lower (Brainstorm) frequencies.
If you hear “Green Needle” without reading your speakers most likely emphasize highs and vice versa.
