Solar eclipse…
I just went up on my roof and tried to capture the scene. However, the solar filter over the lens, a slightly shaky tripod, the atmospheric conditions, and the need to occasionally readjust the camera didn’t exactly do wonders for the image quality.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get hold of a proper pair of eclipse glasses…

Thanks to my neighbor, though, I was still able to catch a glimpse of the sight.

Just some trivia for the comic book lovers here. You may remember Asterix and Lucky Luke? One hundred years ago today the writer of these two comics was born in Paris. To the memory of René Goscinny (1926-1977) :beer_mug:

A slightly longer video here (actually an abridged version of the original one that was almost half an hour long) but I found it facinating and rather clever…

Before a rugby match in Cape Town, there was a flyover by two Embraer aircraft.

According to FR24, the lowest point was just 12 meters above the stadium roof.
