JonR’s post right above about the amazing and uncomprehnesible size of the universe made me think that the flat earthers will have a field day with this. It sent me down a rabbit hole of some of the conspiracy theories there exists, like flat earth, fairies and angels, the rapture, creationism and proofs of God’s existence. Here’s an example. I’m speechless…
If anyone can explain to me what that third woman is actually saying, I’d be grateful. On second thought, don’t bother. Cheeses Christ
Theological Argument: The Guide famously notes that because the Babel fish is so useful and “couldn’t have evolved by chance,” it serves as a “dead giveaway” that God exists, which conversely proves God doesn’t exist, as proof denies faith.
On the other hand, it seems some believe that atheism in itself proves God’s existence. Because you can not deny something that does not exist. Ergo, God exists! Go figure
The Sheep Detectives. Talking sheep have to solve a murder.
You may not have this on your radar. I did not plan to go see this movie but then the movie blog that I watch on an almost daily basis did make me go see it. And I cannot believe how much I enjoyed it.
To me this is the best movie of the year so far, a little bit better even than Project Hail Mary. And Project Hail Mary was practically tailor-made for me. It’s a funny, emotional and very heart-warming mix of Knives Out and Babe, the Gentle Pig. The writing, voice acting and timing of the sheep dialogue is just impeccable.
And it’s a film you can watch with the whole family. In fact I have a hard time imagining how someone could not like this film. I went in not having seen any trailers and I won’t link the trailer here, but I can second everything that is being said in this blog segment.
Most definitely the kind of thing I would have great fun with, recreating it (as a still image, rather than a video sequence) in Photoshop. Not overly difficult either, I don’t think.
Thank you for posting it as it now gives me an idea for a new project to have a go at.
Meet Julia “Hurricane” Hawkins and Orville Rogers. Respect!
And of course, respect to all the other participant here too
Let’s see if we can do this when we turn 100.
The video is from around 2018. Orville passed away in November 2019, while Julia lived to be 108, before she passed away in October 2024.
