Would love to have AI translate on these apartment streams. It would be great to be able to understand what they are saying. I would pay more to have it.
Indeed interesting, maybe there’s already some sort of browserplugin which can do this?
I’ve said it before, for me it would feel wrong to strip that last bit of privacy away from the participants. Plus it might lead to more annoying music or tv noise.
Currently there is no AI technology publicly available to do live translation. And it will be even harder with multiple people speaking. If available licensing such a technology would most likely cost a fortune and nobody would be willing to pay subscription prizes this high.
I recently tried some AI translation on a little advertisement Agnes recorded for her services. The results weren’t very good. Didn’t post it.
If the participants and visitors were to wear wireless microphones, this should no longer be a problem with the corresponding software set up also. But I also believe that this would increase the cost of a subscription immensely.
As far as I know there are already live translations of conversations but if I imagine a party and many people talking at the same time I don’t think reading the subtitles would be a pleasure…
It won’t be great at all and will totally ruin the experience on the site
None of you can know whether it would be great or not. For me personally, a function like this, which can be switched on and off like the previews, would be very exciting. But I fully understand those who would not be enthusiastic about it at all.
Will be exciting until you understand why ALL the people who understand the language say the same thing: a big no to such a function. Will be impossible to happen anyway
I don’t know these people and I always prefer to form my own opinion
You are right about the latter in the medium term. But in the long term? who knows, who knows…
Still impossible. When you have 2 or 3 people speaking simultaneously, it is the end of the story . Not to mention the music when there are parties. Also the distance from the cams, some people speak loud and clear while others don’t. Impossible to hear and understand
the whole concept of this site is to VIEW, but if you really do want to understand whats being said , instead of ai translate , why not learn the language , these days you can learn online for free , not that its something i would do as i couldnt give a shit about understanding what there saying , but learning another language isnt as difficult as you might think
And that’s the smartest thing to do, 99% of the time, it’s pure kindergartner level talking
That’s not really an argument against live translation, because if several people are talking at the same time, it doesn’t matter what language they speak - you’ll never understand anything.
There are solutions to this, as I have already written above - otherwise reality shows such as Big Brother would not be possible.
That might apply to the apartments you’re looking at…
That do apply to all the apartments i’ve been looking at in almost 4 years spent on the site.
I am sure that there are enough situations in which, for example, serious problems, worries and other everyday problems are discussed. Your 99% is completely exaggerated and you know it.
Although there are some similarities, Vhtv and Big Brother are miles away different as a concept. Even if at moments, in some of the apartments there is a lot of scripted action, Big Brother participants had clear roles and scripts to play from the start. And we were only been shown selected scenes from what i remember. Very different concepts.
I’m not talking about comparing vhtv with big brother. I just gave big brother as an example of how the sound problem you mentioned could be solved
