Thank you very much.
My favourite artist at the moment and I may be a little bit biased as he is from my hometown of Brighton and all the videos are filmed in the city.
He has an amazing skill and ability to record and produce music of many genres, soul, jazz, rapping you name it he does it all by himself independent from the music industry which he calls corrupt and doesn’t want anything to do with them. Yet he was still able to have a number-one album in the UK.
This last one is from Ren & Sam Tompkins who is from Eastbourne and is my niece’s boyfriend or he might be an ex now, can’t keep up with things back in the UK.
American singer Wayne Osmond has died. Osmond was known as a member of the music group The Osmonds, which he formed with his brothers and which had great success, especially in the 1970s. Osmond died on January 1 and was 73 years old.
The Utah singer’s family broke the news of the death in a statement to Utah News. “His legacy of faith, music, love and joy has touched the lives of many people around the world.”
Osmond formed Merrill with his brothers Alan from 1958. Jay, Donny and Jimmy form the successful singing group The Osmonds. Wayne was also the group’s lead guitarist. The Osmonds had hits with songs such as One bad apple, Crazy horses and Love me for a reason. Wayne is the first of the known brothers to pass away.

Happy Birthday to Stephen Stills, who is turning 80 today. Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and solo artist, this man is one of the greats. As both singer or songwriter, as well as guitarist, he deserves a toast or two on his birthday
Stephen Stills - Love the One You’re With
Stephen Stills’ self-titled debut solo album from 1970 is so good that it it deserves one more. I proposed a toast or two, now didn’t I
Stephen Stills - Do for the Others
On his birthday, I’ve been listening to some more Stephen Stills today. I came upon this intersting clip from a festival in the US few months ago, with him performing the Buffalo Springfield classic For What It’s Worth, together with Neil Young.
This is an amateur recording, so obviously the video quality is so-so, though the sound is pretty decent. Also, Stephen and Neil is obviously past their prime. After all, they are both pushing 80 here. Still, good to see these two oldies are at it after all these years
Stephen Stills, with Neil Young - For What It’s Worth (live 2024)
les paroles qui me marque le plus sont ceux qui parle ( the cancer grow ) et ne posée pas de question S.V.P le titre le dit The Sound of Silence
The Three Degrees - Dirty Ol’ Man (1974)
When I listened to the song when it came out, I wouldn’t have thought, I might get that close to the title-line
Thanks for posting, I didn’t know the group, but I loved it, and besides, I believe the album was released the year I was born, 1972.
Michael Jackson — Earth Song
♫ Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland (1968)
Not the best album of Jimmy Hendrix, but I feel constantly reminded of it:
Happy Birthday to American singer and songwriter Steve Earle, who is turning 70 today! He is one of the greats in country, yet a songwriter who ever so often is just as much rock as country. His songs have been covered by among others Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris.
Steve Earle’s debut album Guitar Town was released in 1986, and it still holds up pretty well today. Here is the title track. Happy Birthday Steve Earle
