Oh yes, that’s a great one too. But where to begin with Nick Lowe? His later more laidback and melancholic stuff is great too. I actually saw Nick Lowe live in 1985 with the same band that’s in the video you posted. Good memory.

Let us celebrate the memory of English bass player, singer and songwriter Ronnie Lane, who would have turned 77 today, if he hadn’t passed away in 1997 at the age of 51. He earned himself a solid place in rock history as bassist and co-songwriter in both The Small Faces and The Faces, before a solo career with several albums. There’s many songs to choose from, but the beutiful song April Fool may be an appropriate choice for the day.

Happy Birthday to English guitar player Dave Hill, who is turning 77 today. He is the lead guitarist in Slade, from 1966 to this day. Slade had plenty of hits in the 1970’s and 80’s. Today I’ll go a little personal when choosing a song to share here. To cut a long story short - It’s the summer of 1973, on holiday in the northern part of Sweden, a cafe and and a jukebox, my sister and I choosing this song and there begins my still ongoing love of rock music. Here’s Get Down and Get With It.

I will never forget Slade either. One of my favorite bands from the 70’s.

Tons of good memories there, from a time long gone. I sometimes miss those days. Well, I can do without the platform shoes though

Would you believe, I actually wore something similar to this for a while back then. It’s good that we can laugh about it today :joy:

I also wore those things back then… :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

…and these bell bottoms… :joy: :joy: :joy:

Yes of course, the wider at the bottom the better :joy:
