My guess the answer is very simple. He would have done everything for love, but not marry her
Remember Paradise by the dashboard light? Same topic, same answer

Ah thanks. Yes that’s what I got out of the text now when I read it again

i do agree about her voice but my favourite from her was when she was singing ‘La Vie en Rose.’ in the bar at the beginning.

Happy Birthday to English punk poet John Cooper Clarke, who is turning 74 today. He gained attention in the early days of punk, and made severeal records in the latter part of the 1970’s and into the 1980’s, before disappearing due to personal problems. Luckily he got through it, and has made records and performed again in later years He’s never had any hits, but he has gained a solid cult following through the years. Here’s a track from his first record from 1977.

Something a little different then normal postings in here

Tht was so funny!!! :grinning:

While watching Shana and Lika earlier, I got literally the best song I’ve heard today, and I heard it on VHTV! The song is Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps, a classic from my roaring twenties in the 1980’s.

Happy Birthday to English guitarist Dick Taylor, who is turning 80 today. He was a co-founder of The Pretty Things, who was part of the so called British Blues Boom in the 1960’s, with several minor hits in the UK, Australia and Holland. Here’s one of their best known songs. Dick is the guy wearing sunglasses, right behind the singer.

I’d like to pay tribute to American guitarist Tom Verlaine, who passed away yesterday at the age of 73. He is known from his time in the band Television, who sprang out of the punk/new wave scene at the club CBGB’s in New York in the mid 1970’s, and for his solo career after the band split. Tom Verlaine had a solid cult following and was a highly respected musician, guesting on albums by among others Patti Smith and David Bowie. Here is a song from Television’s first album Marquee Moon, often regarded as one of the finest albums of all time. Thank you Tom, for for being part of my musical experience since 1977. May you be remembered.

Wow, I was not aware of that. I guess grumpy and viral are two words that rarely go well together  Anyway, I’m just glad to see the old classics being appreciated by new generations.

This song :heavy_heart_exclamation:
