🚧 We're migrating to New version of VHTV

Yes I must admit, since our conversation here the other day on this subject, I have noticed (just now in fact) that Bardy’s bathroom camera is out of action and currently not on the list so I concur with what you were saying.

Atm, there are two cams missing from the list in that apartment. Cam 3 is still not working and like you said the bathroom one as well now

Cam 3 (livingroom - as far as I remember there have always been 4 of them there and there still is) is on the list and actually working perfectly.

The only one apparently not working is the bathroom one. If you refresh your page, you will see what I mean.

I just refreshed and seen that cam 3 is indeed back online. My bad that i haven’t checked recently.

I have a habit of doing that (or not doing it, depending upon how you look at things) with entire apartments. I will think to myself that a particular apartment is offline, as it’s shown to have been and then someone will make a comment saying about it being back, catching me totally unaware!

I do a simple refresh and there it is again. :man_facepalming:

The bathroom camera was extremely freezing and lagging like crazy so i reported it to support and it’s since been offline.

With the conversion I can no longer turn the preview panel off and on. Is that capability no longer available to the lowly users?

The answer to your question is already somewhere above: it was never intended that someone without a subscription could turn off the preview. This is one of the restrictions that should have always worked this way. The fact that it worked temporarily was probably a :bug:

Yes, that is correct.

I have tested this when signed out of the main site (so effectively the same as someone WITHOUT a subscription) and it has always been the same…inaccessible

every since i found and joined vhtv i have been able to turn it off and on at will…but not since the migration…

Before the change, I found I never could…and the same since the change.

If you was logged in but didn’t have a subscription you could always switch it off, when I first came to this site over 2 years ago I had a trial first before committing to a months payment and inbetween the two when not having a subscription you just could turn it off, now the new migration you can only turn it off if you have a subscription

Well I have tried it since then - whilst not logged in but with a subscription (which it recognises when I am logged in of course) and it definitely couldn’t be done so I guess VHTV changed the ‘rules’, such as they are (still).

I did say when the new version was introduced that VH was going to throw the old version under the bus. And what has happened? VH did actually throw the old version under the bus. So I was right. :fire: :hugs:

Yes… I honestly wish they hadn’t, quite frankly.

You totally have my full understanding for that point of view. :fire:

As far as the optics go… I can live with that. I like the dark design, the little red line in the timeline when you jump back in time might be easier to see in a different color (as a small point of criticism). and that I now have to look for my remaining running time behind a menu… ok, I don’t look there that often.
What bothers me the most is the already reported change in functionality when you pause. The stream apparently continues to run despite the pause, and when you press play you end up where the stream would be if you had NOT paused. This makes searching for scenes extremely difficult, and possibly recording them too, because the timing simply doesn’t work correctly.
Yesterday I saw a picture out of the corner of my eye that I would have liked to save and post in the forum. But since ‘show all controls’ no longer works properly (you can no longer rewind spontaneously), and I didn’t pay attention to the screen time, the scene could no longer be found

If you was logged in on the main site without a subscription you could turn it off

The above was always the case, I haven’t had a subscription since VHTV & segpay went their separate ways as it’s not possible for me to sign up with Verotel

The new website requires a subscription to turn it off
