Are you sure Ingvar is the girl? Ingvar is a pretty common name in Norway, Sweden and Iceland, and it is a male name.

That matches also better with the song 
It was because on the pics Ingvar was on the left and since i’ve seen ‘Vikings’ i thought the song could be about a shield maiden.

Nå flisespikker jeg igjen, men “Jenta fra nord i landet” tror jeg er en bedre oversettelse her. Dylan synger definitivt om ei spesiell jente, og ikke ei jente generelt.
Og selv etter 40 år i Oslo husker jeg noen av jentene nordpå den dag i dag
