No, that wasn’t particulary accurate. Then again, “the Globe” sometimes lives its own life. Well then, just a little useless trivia before I shut up. I wrote tomorrow yesterday, and that means today today. And today it’s been exactly two years since I captured these pics of Wendy. Ah how time flies
Now, me being me, I can’t resist a little rock history when I have the opportunity. Sometime around 1967 the American band Iron Butterfly wrote a song calld In the Garden of Eden. However, this songtitle did not make it on to record. As legend will have it, during a rehearsal the singer was so dru-nk on wi-ne that he just slurred In A Gadda Da Vida instead of In the Garden of Eden. The band found this funny and cool, and decided to rename the song.
So In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida became the title track on Iron Butterfly’s second album in 1968, with its 17 minutes taking up the whole of side two on the LP. It’s a great song. An edited version was released as a single, and charted in several countries, the highest being at number 7 in the Netherlands.
