I think the camera angle in the kitchen is perfect as is 
It’s the camera that has been moved up under the cabinet. (It may have been replaced).
It “cuts off” the heads of everyone in the background who isn’t sitting!

In your first picture, the camera is in exactly the right position, in my opinion. It has enough angle on all sides to capture everything.
I think that the cameras are all installed more or less provisionally. So that they can be dismantled again without leaving any traces when you move out. They just come loose. And then they are not put back in the right position.
But that’s not the end of the world, as long as the cameras still take reasonably good pictures. And are not simply removed if they get in the way. As we have unfortunately already seen.
