Maybe saved, I think I read that VHTV pays for the translations. 
Then the globe is lost. We’ll never find him in the junk room again…

for the firefox: just found yesterday, already in use today. is surprisingly good, and also copes wonderfully with a mixture of languages on one page
You don’t need to translate whole pages. The DeepL extension gives you a top experience when it comes to this.
I’ve been using it all year and am very happy with it. 
does anybody have any updates on the translation button @VHTV
The last statement I heard is they are working on it.

Sorry it takes longer than expected. We’re working with Microsoft in order to fix the billing problems which seem to be provoked by their side. 
There is no chance to implement DeepL instead of Microsoft?
DeepL is working like a charm, especially as an app/extension. You highlight the text and that’s it.
My approach was to implement it as a translator function for the now missing globe…

I don’t need the globe.
I installed the TWA addon in Mozilla Firefox and it works perfectly. It uses the Google translator.
Alternatively, I can also use Microsoft Edge, which also translates, but not quite as well. It’s just Microsoft… 
We are using the open-source plugin which has certain integrations available, but no DeepL:
If someone would like to participate into it’s development and add DeepL support, the whole Discourse community will be glad to have it as an option. We are unable to participate into it’s development in recent future.
