Yeah i often don’t find a cock up in my posts sometime after and am unable to alter it.

I think I may have confused you. You can edit a post anytime, even months later. But, you only have 5 minutes to make an invisible edit.

After that, the system shows all your edits to the entire forum. In other words, the system doesn’t show the forum any edits made within that first 5 minute grace period. That’s what I thought should be at least 10 minutes, and even longer.
