Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd is all most of us in the UK have ever known in our lives
Her passing, whilst not unexpected, has come as a great shock to us all.
All our thoughts and prayers now go out to all her family and offer them our most sincere condolences at this most sad time.
Our thoughts now go to out King Charles 3rd, long live the King.

the question may sound stupid, but it’s meant seriously: will the lyrics of the british anthem simply be changed now? none of us knows anything other than ‘god save the queen’… it would be easy to change

R.I.P Your Majesty. It’s a sad sad day for many. Long Live The KIng.

A wonderful Queen

A great influence for those of us who have known her all our lives.

A person who could be completely royal at one moment and a family matriarch the next

May the humility that she has shown over the years guide us in the years to come.

God save King Charles 3rd.

A sad day.

Yes, the British national anthem is 277 years old and has known Kings and Queens and we just replace the King or Queen in the anthem with who is on the throne at the time as well as the pronoun him or her.

was obvious, but I never bothered with it. was a stupid question, i assumed it

I assume they also have to print new money now?

The least of anyones worries right now but yes, eventually that will happen alongside the existing which will stay in use until all exchanged by the banks.

Yeah I assume it will be a gradual exchange of the bills. Just they do with new Euro bills…

i always speculated that charles would give up the throne in favor of william, if only because he is no longer the youngest. on the other hand, he was prepared for this day all his life… even if it was a lot of years that he had to wait

Yes, as in any currency.

R.I.P Your Majesty.
