The process of relocation

I was wondering how the process of relocation works and i think i have figured out

someone within the vhtv organisation makes the decision that a participant needs a relocation, could be due to different reasons, the apartment doesn’t meet the needs, the neighbors or the bins are full…

As soon as the decision is made the first and absolute most important thing to do is taking the apartment offline with the message [OFFLINE] relocation so all the customers know, the participant(s) come back in an other apartment anywhere in the future, probably this year, maybe next, but they will come back online sometime (hopefully)

Now this important step has been set it’s time for the next step, forming a committee that will decide to which apartment the participant(s) will relocate. Forming this committee takes some time, discussions and fights. Next step is choosing a chair(wo)man. Again some time, discussions and fights. After this we have a functional committee which can decide to with apartment the relocation take place. They need an advisor who make a list of possible apartments to relocate to. Quotes are asked from several advisors. After all quotes have been received, again time, discussions, fight and also some s___pless nights to choose the right advisor. The chosen advisor does a thorough investigation to produce a list of available and possible apartments to relocate to. Now the real time consuming discussions start, so time, discussion, fights, s___pless nights, doctor visits, tranquilizers later the decision has been made to which apartment the relocation will be done. This committee has done its work and will be disbanded…

Next step is the decoration committee with almost the same story but now focusing on the decoration of the apartment.

Then the technical committee for where to place the webcams.

Now it’s time for the moving committee to actually move the participants to the new apartment.

And then, YES the last step, bringing the participants back online in their new location!

Here I go thinking, that no two participants are the same. Some will have camera’s in their own house, some will rent themselves a place to have camera’s in it, and some will have a place assigned to them by a ‘manager’, a liaison person between them and VHTV. So every situation is different.

oh… a little ad on… i heart some rumors about a new committee that tries to relocate as much as possible apartments at the same time…

I strongly protest against these idiotic relocations! When I asked on this
forum why they are needed, I didn’t get a sensible answer.
It is absolutely obvious that they cost a lot of money, are troublesome
for the participants and utterly irritating for the viewers. The worst of
all is that they often take a very long time. Are there some outsiders
who have found a way to make VHTV to pay large amounts of money
to them? Please STOP RELOCATIONS!!!

I fully agree they are tedious and disruptive. Don’t forget however that apartments have to keep on the move occasionally in order to minimise the risk of public exposure. What they do is against federation law. Having said that, they could prepare better i.e. having an apartment ready to move into.

whenever i see a relocation i expect those participants not to come back its happened to many times

And who should stop this you think? You should know that not only we are customers at VHTV, but the participants are also. VTHV is in between us and the participants. VHTV does not ‘control’ participants, they don’t tell participants what to do, where to go. And then there are the managers. These come in different sorts and sizes. Like I said: every realm is different. And I do hope that people are free to do and go wherever they want.

you said well…

I get that a lot.

“I should know that…”. Thank you, besserwisser!
I don’t agree that “VHTV doesn’t control the participants”. Of course, they
must ‘control’ everything, e.g. via managers.
I do agree that people should be free to go wherever they want, likewise
I am free to express my opinion on this forum!

Read this please.

I wrote this before Crystall located and blow me down they were up (briefly) within a very short time. As the cams were working it must have been planned so things might be getting better as in the old days they would be offline for weeks.

Ok, I see your point.

Never argue with this besserwisser. :kissing_heart:

It sounds like you are trying to create your own version of VHTV
