Dear Forum members,
During last couple days our team has been working on setting up new media storage and migrating existing media to new infrastructure. The results are mostly invisible to end-viewer (as usual), yet it allows us to serve content faster, making it more cost-efficient and easier for us to back up the valuable media we share here at forum threads. Despite our forum is just 6 months old, there were more than 211 000 files moved, and the number is growing every day.
Unfortunately, despite our efforts to make the migration as quick & painless as possible, it seems like some of the media was lost. To be specific, we see that some media uploaded by you during a period of February 2nd to February 4th 2022 may be lost. The loss rate seems quite low, yet missing images may decrease your and other users experience reading forum threads.
We are sorry about this incident and our team learned more about how some of forum & related scripts work to be prepared for such surprises next time.
Though we cannot restore the media lost, we were able to identify 90% the posts affected, in the spoiler section below I’m mentioning authors with corresponding posts in attempt to help you re-uploading your files if you have local copies saved:
