well i found the solution about the subtitles idea. i just use my google translate app from the play store set it up to translate from russian to english then i sit my smartphone by the speaker. i must say it works pretty good i dont really care what anybody is talking about but for s__ts and grins i just gave it a try.

Could you elaborate on how you set that up?
download google translate from the play store to your phone. then set the app up if its russian set it russian to english and just tap on the mic button sit phone by speaker it spell out the words on your phone screen as they talk. im using a laptop with external speaker.

It would be really cool if someone could develop a Chrome extension that would do the same thing. It could appear like closed captioning superimposed over the video.
