Solar storm to hit causing problems

Solar storm warning amid blackout fears as huge flare set to hit Earth imminently

A solar storm is heading to the Earth that threatens to cause mass blackouts and chaos around the globe. It is nearer that we’d all like, as scientists are predicting an imminent impact

may be the reason some realms are having problems

Where did you get this information, and how reliable is it? I never thought about a solar storm - we have been having lots of thunderstorms in my area that disrupt our internet service (which is provided by a satellite company and not a cable company).

I found this:
Powerful solar flare is heading to Earth today, space weather experts warn (msn.com)

I found it too after searching, thanks.

Lol I rather think it is the usual VHTV bugs there. :joy:

There is, however, a bug in VHTV that has been around for a while, (a couple of months, at least). The timelines are not synchronized. When you switch from one camera to another, there is a difference (sometimes as much as 2 minutes). Not enough of a big deal for me to make a ticket, but I thought I would bring it up.

Yeah this problem gets bigger and bigger til somebody makes a ticket and they sync it again. Then we have some time til it gets too big again and all starts again.

Strange, there is no mention of this on ESA or NASA…

However, VHTV can find something to blame for their technical problems :man_facepalming:

What technical issues are there now then?

lagging, cams not synchronized, up to 5 secs when changing cams in some cases, freezing and skipping images…

Yeah I noticed it myself and occasionally it happens as it will do for sites like this which are very complicated to run. Freezing and skipping images is down to the user and their network and not VHTV and it’s quite easy to determine that by using network tools.

Yes it’s like that for at least two days now. Sometimes more and sometimes less bad. But obviously @VHTV_James did not even notice…

With so many people reporting it is definitely not on users side. I agree often it can be a problem with the users internet. But now with so many people reporting it over a longer period of time it’s definitely on VHTV side.

Well it is very easy to test and even you know that and have you done so?

i have a very stable high speed connection and the freezing and skipping happens only on VHTV for me…

Yes of course I did. Multiple times. My internet is smooth as ever.

Exactly same for me since about two days.

same thing on my side

They all so that and do substantiate that? Have you run a network test for dropped packets and timeouts? Before I accuse others I always check that my house is in order.
