No, Writing in English is not a requirement for participation in this forum. you can use the globe icon to see the translation of the comments in other languages, or just skip them, the choice is yours.

I installed an addon in Firefox that translates pretty much every language into German. Only when I want to write something do I use Google translator for people who are too lazy to have it translated across the globe or too stupid to install an addon themselves.
