As soon as she came back from work and found that Chanel came out the window, we went to look for her in the neighborhood of houses, in the bushes, under cars. I had her goodies and a toy with me. We didn’t find her then.

Then I went to sleep from the night shift, when I woke up, I published a post about the disappearance on social networks, and also went to make printouts. And at the moment when I was walking around the neighborhood and posting ads, an old acquaintance wrote to me and sent me a video of Chanel hanging out in the corner of her house (this place is two blocks from us). Morlock went there by car and picked her up.

Shelby, thank you so much for the info. We suspected that Chanel was scared and had hidden somewhere. But everything turned out well. Chanel will survive this surgery, too.

You can see how devoted you and Chanel are. She will always try to follow you around. So watch out, so Chanel can’t do it again.
When will the operation be?
I wish your pet the best of luck and a speedy recovery. :hugs:

I am so sorry to hear about Chanel’s front paw. And she needs an operation?!? I wish you success in that operation, and relief for Chanel. Prayers.

The Origin of Cats’ ā€œNine Livesā€

But why nine? The number choice varies across cultures, with some traditions suggesting seven or even six lives, but the idea of nine lives is the most prevalent, especially in Western societies.

That may well be the case. And I don’t want to contradict you. Because I couldn’t disprove it.
I just know the saying that cats have seven lives. At least that’s what they say in my neighbourhood.
But ultimately it’s just a figure of speech. Because which species of this kind, with its bone structure, could survive such actions with only ā€˜a small fracture’ of the front paw? Cats are fast, flexible and very clever.

Shelby, I’m so happy that Chanel is doing okay, relatively speaking. I’m sure a broken leg is no walk in the park for her, pain-wise. If you don’t mind saying how many stories/floors did Chanel fall? I’m also an avid cat lover. You might like this topic.

Do You Love Cats?

Not a problem. All my life I’ve always heard that cats have nine lives. In fact, I never even knew there was a possibility of a different number of lives, until you mentioned ā€œsevenā€.

I chose this article because it said that the number of lives varies across cultures. Also because most Spanish-speaking countries use seven instead of nine, and most English-speaking countries use nine.

How about: We love them more, so we want them to stick around longer.

I’d like to emphasize the satirical/sarcastic tone of this post right from the start!!!:

If you take the :tangerine: 's stupid nonsense seriously, that there are immigrants who eat pets… would cats with too many lives actually be a problem? Surely the effort involved in obtaining meat eventually becomes disproportionate to the benefit? Or was the number reduced to one by decree for the sake of simplicity?

Chanel is limping, but the appetite seems to be there, which is a good sign :hugs: :heart_eyes_cat:
