I don’t quite "understand " this picture. It looks like there’s a loggia outside the living room and not just a window!

Could you help me to explain the word invdivative a little bit more simple? There is actually no simple word for it in norwegian either. The only word in norwegian that shows up is indivativ. Not a word I use very often.
