Typically, there’s a " breaking-in" period when new pets are brought into a home that already has pets. Soon enough they usually get used to each other if they’re around each other. But, that can’t happen if they’re separated.
Put them together and let them hiss and bark as much as they want. As long as the dog isn’t trying to eat the kittens, things should calm down, and they might even start playing with each other.
Cats and dogs have been living together peacefully for an extremely long time. These guys will most likely follow right along in that tradition.
