First of all, I wasn’t scolding her number two if you gonna say anything, you might wanna go back and read the whole conversation from the very beginning on this particular situation before you try to step up and try to be somebody’s parent. I don’t need you chastising me.

@ San This must be a surefire way to get “ISP issues”. Looks like the router is under the chair! :hugs:

Professional install. No wonder there are so many ISP issues over there.

router is on top (on the wall), and the equipment and wires are on the bottom, later I’ll try to think of something to hide it so it’s not so noticeable

Now I’m a puritan? That’s a new one. While sex work sure is work, I still wouldn’t call it a normal job as any other, and most sex workers are probably not very happy with their lot in life. If I had a daughter, I sure wouldn’t want her to be a sex worker or on VHTV. But that wasn’t what I had in mind.

With “normal working life” I was more thinking of the daily routine of reliably getting up early in the morning, getting out of the house and showing up at your job in time. This can be surprinsingly difficult for people who have never formed that habit, or who have been out of it for years, like some long time un-employed.

Most VHTV participants are quite young and I’m not sure if they’ve had any real vocational training or higher education before joining. These are very formative years, years in which you can pour the foundations of what your life is going to be, and it is very easy to waste these years. I can sing a song about that, fortunately I was able to turn the ship around in time, which I might not have been without the support from my family. But that’s another story.

The point is, qualification and work experience are the keys to getting well paid jobs later in life, and with only VHTV on their resumé they’ll come up empty-handed. VHTV sure beats deboning chickens right now, but it may just mean deboning chickens for the rest of their working life.

So yes, I do think most VHTV participants are in a precarious life situation, and I don’t think it’s condescending to be honest about that opinion.

Your comment tells me you are terribly out of touch with what is increasingly becoming a gig economy globally, and you put forward some very serious “Daddy Knows Best” energy. Also, yours is definitely a uniquely conservative American worldview of work that may or may not line up well with current economic conditions in Russia, or future work norms anywhere over the next decade. I also wonder: why do you support a project that you believe sets its participants up for failure in life, according to you? What joy could you possibly get out of witnessing this? I think, on some level, your condescension is an exercise in projection, but I don’t know you at all and can’t guess what exactly you’re unconsciously trying to project. Also, you have to know that having a close-up beej as your profile pic is always going to compromise your position as any kind of moral arbiter :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I don’t know why you insist to see me as some moral preacher, are you projecting anything there? I can enjoy porn and hookers and still think that those lines of work are generally bad career choices, there’s no contradiction. Same with VHTV participants. Gig economy or not, the cum I’m spewing all over my keyboard, watching them fuck, will do nothing to help them pay their rent once their gig here is over. And with that, I’ll let it rest.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt as bad for an inanimate object as I do for your keyboard right now

it’s probably such a pity that she’s closing herself off, I think that opening up would be something for her, something that would give her strength and self-confidence
