Thereâs an easy way to elimiate those still filler images, I always do this when I post vertical shower videos or such.
First post your video as usual. Then right-click on the video in your posted post and copy the video address (URL) to your clipboard. Now hit the pencil icon to edit your post. Remove the video from your post by deleting that line that has been generated when you uploaded the video. Instead insert the video address from your clipboard and finish the edit. Now your post will only display the video file from the server, with black bars left and right.
When you upload videos a thumbnail image is generated, which the forum engine will not find if you refer to the video file by itâs own address instead of the âupload codeâ. With a video in 16:9 aspect ratio this will just look like one of the first frames of the video. I guess the purpose of this is that when you open a topic, the thumbnails will be displayed more quickly, the forum engine doesnât have to start reading all those video files.
