French Semantics must be a minefield. So many gendered words. Not that English isn’t a complete shitfest, I speak it fairly well (cough lies cough) but sometimes stray into academia and they have like a whole different language going on there. It is so not worth the trip just to get a passport stamp. Border patrol is a nightmare too.
Oh - I learned another thing while looking at Sem meanings, - Semtex is red and C4 is white. Semtex emits a gas that is detectable so forensics experts can always tell what explosive was used. It didn’t always have that though. that was like a trust issue thing. The manufacturers were like “awwww, do we have to?” but they did.
