Realtime translation?

Hi,
it seems that most participants speak Russian and its a pity that I cannot understand them. Is there any tool (e. g. browser extension) which translates the livestreams in real time? English subtitles would be fine for me, speech-to-speech would be even better. I tried different extentions for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, but none of them seems to work. I should say that I watch VHTV on a desktop computer with Windows 10.
Any suggestions?

there is!! but 99.9% of the audio comming of the cameras is poor quality , add into the equation the dialects/accents and your bound to get false info back on most online translators , you will need a fucking expensive editing setup to break and isolate back ground noises etc , by the time you have paid for the setup and learned how to edit , you could of learned the language at a 10th of the cost and in less time ,

Apart from the technical challenges, I’m not sure this would be a good idea. Taking that last bit of privacy away from the participants seems a bit inhumane. And it would probably lead to the pool of participants being reduced to even more desperate or apathetic people, or to loud TVs or music being on all the time.

I’d add to the two previous messages that learning a new language and Russian in particular is a very rewarding experience.

Using a very (very) expensive professional software would be the only way to get decent results from a live video recording. You won’t find anything efficient for free or at a cheap price on the Internet.

It’s worth learning Russian in my opinion if you’re really that passionate about the life of the participants. You’d only grab a few words here and there at the beginning of course but as I said it’s a rewarding experience.

Thanks for your comments! The argument about privacy doesn’t convince me, because there will always be a few viewers who understand Russian so privacy isn’t there anyway. And learning Russan only for watching VHTV - no thanks, that isn’t worth it. In my normal life I need German, English and French, but certainly not Russian. But I understand that there are - at least for the time being - no cheap solutions for the problem. It remains to see whether technology will have a solution in the future.

Oh, you know, regarding privacy, probably at least 90% of the viewers don’t understand Russian, so the participants in the realm can likely speak freely. Personally, I think my knowledge of the language is decent, but with the background noise, mediocre camera audio, and the fact that I’m often focused on something else, I don’t always catch what’s being said. But you’re right; there’s really no point in learning Russian just for VHTV. I personally chose Russian in college after watching Ivan’s Childhood.

Because of this, most of the times, even for a native speaker it is impossible to understand. So yes, there is no point in even trying

It’s not even that, the conversations are boring and mundane 99% of the times, people think they are missing out but anything they want to discuss is done by telegram

Totally true. There are very few moments when there is something worth listening. Like last night and today’s drama at Tonk’s place (for drama lovers ):rofl:

The participants are very aware of the cams and what they’re talking. If not, the managers are instructing them quite fast…

No idea as I don’t watch

It’s been perfect for you then
