I just checked and realised that yes, that’s exactly what is happening, you get the “award” for ANY 10 reactions to a post. I believe that it must be a glitch. Very annoying.

Fun fact: you get ‘nice reply’ also if only/including :man_facepalming: or :-1: …which contradicts the meaning behind it :crazy_face:
Only positive reactions should count… even if perhaps more than just the :heart:

Quite funny situation: Imagine that any post with 10 thumbs down or facepalm reactions, gets awarded with “Nice Reply” badge :crazy_face: :joy: :joy: :joy:

At some point I love it cause now negative reaction spam also boosts the account :crazy_face:

However, I’m not sure if it’s bug or feature, will need to check

Hello,

Forum software core developers recently introduced changes which affected how likes & reactions count together, improving the long overdue “problem” of those not being accounted for in the system as positive reactions. It seems like it doesn’t work good with default badge you mentioned. I will try to raise the badge criteria to make it appear for a higher appreciated posts then

This particular badge will be granted upon receiving 20+ positive reactions / likes now.
I will raise Nice Topic badge criteria accordingly.

i find it so fucking funny that your complaining about recieving so many award notifications, none of you are silly enough not to understand this is only happening because of the forum comp , but hey its not as though this forum isnt built on awards derr , go find something better to complain about

Well users complain about their user experience, and it matters to be constantly improved. These notifications may become a major inconvenience if they spam your forum inbox.

But please don’t forget the reason why I created the topic… the problem still occurs, and it hasn’t become more understandable. just a few days ago the gina/derk/topic was affected for me

In the last week I’ve received one Nice Reply notification, and one, I think it was called Favorite Link, or something like that, notification. It was for posting a link that got 50+ clicks.

Strange thing about the Nice Reply notification was, it was for a comment I posted in March of 2022 in Bella’s topic and it took 21 hearts to get it. It sat there for years with upwards of 20 hearts, but the notification wasn’t triggered until I got 21, which was probably when VHTV changed the rule.

But, I have dozens of other posts from last year and even January of this year, with over a dozen reactions that have never received a Nice Reply notification.
