So, it makes me think even if she doesn’t get her own realm I’m thinking we may see her visit more often than if she lived far away.

I could imagine that Amelie has moved into the same block. If she carries her beloved birds out of the flat without a cover.
And you can see in the short film that she comes with slippers and only then leaves with trainers.

She actually came much earlier and was wearing the trainers. Used the slippers only when taking her things outside so it is also possible that she came with a car and was easier ( faster) to use the slippers.
At first she took the bed cover, then some other things and only the last time she took the birds

You could be right, of course.
Nevertheless, it could be somewhere in the neighbourhood. Where Amelie has found a new home. And moved into her own flat.
And makes room for Oscar and Pearl, as they also like to invite couples round.
But it’s all pure speculation. Perhaps Amelie will enlighten us at some point.
