CB Radio is still very much alive on the roads of the former USSR
In Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and other post-Soviet countries, truckers (dalnoboy) and regular drivers continue to actively use the 27 MHz CB band. The main trucker channel is Channel 15 (27.135 MHz) — it’s the local equivalent of the classic Channel 19.
Even in 2025-2026, CB remains one of the main ways to exchange real-time info about police, road conditions, accidents, and traffic jams. Many drivers prefer it because it works without internet or cellular coverage.
Interestingly, it’s also widely used for commercial purposes — drivers often announce fuel sales (sometimes cheaper “off-the-books” diesel) and other roadside services, including offers from ladies of the night.
Old-school 27 MHz is still a big part of road culture there.

Some of you have already noticed something very important 
So, something unexpected happened to me today: Jolanda proposed to me! Yes, that’s right—she was the one who took the initiative! She picked out the rings, arranged a dinner at a restaurant, and asked me to marry her.
On the one hand, I was completely flustered and didn’t understand what was happening or why the rush, but on the other hand, we don’t live in the safest country right now, and I don’t know what might happen to us tomorrow. I said yes! I don’t know what will happen to us tomorrow or in a week, BUT I know for sure that we need to live this life right now!
