I know you are only trying to help, but I don’t want the pictures as a slide show. There are only 4 pictures & I would like them listed below each other.
I usually order every photos when more than three like that. Makes scrolling a bit easier. What about using the grid system? There you have a preview of all bit images a bit smaller and less scrolling.
I did the grid view of one of your posts now. How do you like that?
Except you left the 5 pictures of the new girl that were posted earlier. Also 4 pics of Flora posted earlier were not changed either.
I have used the slideshow option on a number of occasions, but just this once - and it was only 4 pics - I wanted them displayed as a list.

Nope, still showing as a grid, not as posted, one after the other.
It is not up to you to decide how forum members would like their pictures to appear within their posts. Kindly asking not to do that to the posts which are not yours.
Alright. But might be a good idea that system puts photos posted automatically in gallery view when certain amount of photos per post is reached. For example when more than five.
It may be so in the future, but the fact there is no such systems allows nobody to touch anybody’s posts if those break no rules or do not exceed flags threshold.

There is no rule available. What I meant that the more flags the post gets from different users, the bigger the priority for admins to review those posts and act accordingly. This is visible to moderators only, which are two at the forum, CEO & me.

Alright. Let’s wait how the system develops in future…
Let’s hope it remains ‘as is’ and will stay as a choice, set only by the person posting the images they way THEY want to. There is no need for the system to dictate this, at all.
Quite agree it should be up to the members how they want their posts shown not any individual member. It’s not up to any member to dictate to others or shouldn’t be…

Now your saying that its ok to post pictures the way a member likes too. 
It’s different. He is talking about a member ‘editing’ a post of other member, not about the pictures rules.

Here we talk about other users, specifically Jabbath, with Trust Level of 4, editing the posts of other members to convert their image layout to grid/slide gallery.
As told, I find it unacceptable unless specific users request their images to be converted to galleries in case they can’t handle the Discourse gallery formatting (it’s not that intuitive, tbh).
I believe that the best way to resolve that is to ask jabbath to restore posts revisions where he edited those, unless, again, he was asked by forum members to do so. We have post revision logs on our side, I can compile the list of latest edits made by Jabbath and provide it to him in order to revert the changes where it was not needed in the first place.
What do you think about it? The poll is related to those posts which contained images in simple layout, which was converted by Jabbath to galleries by his own intentions.
Should Jabbath restore the edited posts to original version?
- Yes, the posts should be restored to the original state
- No, keep the affected posts as they are now
