I would like my phone to notify me whenever I get mentioned or receive a direct message. Now I have to wake up in the middle of the night (local) to see if my favorite forum member, you know who you are, has messaged me. Would this be possible? Thanks!
I do believe that you can set this up through Google’s Push Notifications and I will look at it in an hour’s time as a temp fix.

Check out your Notifications Preferences:
Press “Enable Notifications” and your browser will prompt you if you want to receive those. This will work for any modern browser, no matter if you’re using desktop/mobile. In case of mobile devices, you need to re-check if you allow your browser application to send you notifications. It won’t work if you deny it from notifying you within device.
On a side note, I never allow any websites sending me notifications, though I trust it 100% and know these will be relevant. I rely on email notifications instead, which arrive to my inbox and I just follow the link inside. Pro Tip: you can reply to email notifications from our forum to be able to post your message straight to the thread, without leaving your email client.
