What’s the goal of VHTV ?
To satisfy voyeurism fantasm of users.
What’s voyeurism ?
Taking pleasure looking at people in their intimacy, having the sensation of seeing without to be seen. Entering in people’s life, sharing it through the screen, having the sensation to know these people, imagining stories about what we see.
Why is it fake voyeurism ?
Because people we are looking at know they are seen and are paid for that. Accepting this exhibition means they accept that users have an opinion about them.
Why a forum ?
Forum is made to share opinions and points of vew about people we are looking at. Why sharing that ? Because sharing makes the thing more addictive.
Conclusion : opinion sharing (whatever the opinions) is a part of the commercial project of VHTV. Some users can think some opinions are dumb, no matter. Commenting residents body, behaviour or habits is totally assumed by the project.
If the problem was I wrote “it’s not my business but…”, then I delete this sentence and rewrite my comment without it : “I find Viva smokes too much”. Ok now ?
True voyeurism it is not but yep a very fair assessment of the whole genre i would say.
After all if people put themselves in the public eye,for whatever reason, they must expect criticism whether it be positive or negative.
Insulting comments are totally unneccessary but unfortunately some bring it upon themselves but in the main, yes, insulting comments should not be tolerated.
However most are made tongue in cheek and should be able to be taken in the spirit or humour in which they are made.
I don’t think saying that Viva smokes too much is insulting. I hope so…
