I have a lot of experience with cats and all I can really say is that you can’t train cats. Either they want to or they don’t want to.
I used to have a cat that went to the toilet, but it didn’t do it all the time, only when it wanted to. Besides, it’s difficult for cats to use a toilet because they feel the urge to bury it after they’ve done their “business”, which is not possible in the toilet.
