That’s actually a very sad matter. Local policies make ISPs block VPNs in order to censor “inconvenient” information from inside and outside the country, and though it has nothing to to with our project but politics, it influences our streaming indirectly as we are connecting places via VPN. Unfortunately, our technicians have to do hard work finding new and new ways to overcome these challenges each time they have new “idea”.
Thank you Kaya for taking the time to explain this absurd situation to the Forum. Please give all the technicians our thanks for the service they provide to us.
The Internet providers there may not allow VPN connections. And since VHTV routes internet traffic via VPN, they are now blocked. At least that’s how I understand it.
Nothing against you but if you are not very familar with things like that it is hard to understand. Basically internet traffic is divided in different protocols. And the Internet Service Provider is blocking one of the protocols which is needed for broadcasting.
Basically yes but more complicated. VPNs can be very different. And the current setup they use for the VPN is no longer working. This does not mean if you alter the VPN setup that it won’t work either. You need to harden security and obfuscate packet types.
