At that moment, I was at a party with Portuguese supermodel, and asked her if she thought the lad was an Adonis. She replied with a smile: “Oh, my friend, he looks more like Hephaestus.” I thought that was a bit exaggerated, but tastes really do vary.
i just looked pics at google…and i would say that Hephaestus looks better than Adonis in all representations (art) that can be found there.
and i bet whether you nor the supermodel knows one of them personally
that means…you are right with poor eyesight when she (the naming woman) saw Adonis (art) somewhere and you are wrong with ‘incomparable beauty’
Hephaestus was seen as the ugliest god in Greek mythology and also had a disability: he was lame (crippled). He is most commonly depicted as a naked, bearded man, often holding an object used by blacksmiths.
Thus, the symbols of Hephaestus are related to his work as a blacksmith: axe, hammer, anvil, and tongs, a type of pliers.
I only looked at the statues and other artistic representations of the two that exist.
I accept your concept of beauty; it is yours and you have every right to it. Interestingly, many of the singers I sing with consider Wagner’s works to be wonderful. Due to their vocal difficulty, I prefer to perform Italian or French operas, perhaps even because of the difficulty of articulating the German language. But I apologise if I have hurt your sensibilities, I promise not to mention anything else again.
never. i just stated what i mean. some people say Monalisa is beautiful. I don’t care.

and last but not least…that Adonis at Lola has a really good body
(just like me )
