It would be interesting if there was a way to see how many people are watching live through every camera on the site. A little live stat on the corner of the screen perhaps? Anyone with any thoughts on this?
It would be a bad thing because it will make all a big competition
Good point
Would probably also be too technically complicated - although I have noticed from time to time participants staring into the cameras as though they are looking to see if anyone is actually watching them at the moment.
It’s not something I would pay any attention to. It would be cool to know how many users are online in the forums though. Just so it doesn’t feel so cold and lonely in the quieter hours …
seriously though a live counter of logged in people, and then a separate count of active users. I know I’m logged in most of the day but away for lengthy periods. I mean, just grabbing random numbers, maybe something like this:
Logged in: 1,635
Currently active: 250
Only live so it’s ever changing. you’d know when you logged in by the number of active users if something juicy was happening somewhere.
You made some great points and no doubt that would be interesting.
I see no reason in favor of it. As long as I can find something I liķe to watch, then I couldn’t care less about how many others are watching. But it would definitely have a huge negative impact on the tenants if something like that had been available. Live compatting for views and so on.
It could have that affect but you could also say it would be an incentive! Or maybe a counter of some kind showing the most visited realm in the past 24 hours? That way it is not as specific. It would encourage fully paid members to make use of their extra features by rewinding. Just a thought and its always nice to read what others think.
Vielleicht tun sie das ja. Oft würden sie dann vielleicht interessantere Dinge sehen, als sie uns bieten…
