Correct The only option would be if they had one actual camera and whenever they’re doing a big event or anything they swap it out to cover that

Well at least the mythos that RLC uses better cameras has been debunked 
So these are affordable cameras that do the job. And they usually take good pictures, too.
It’s only fair to say that. Normally, these cameras take good pictures for us. And if the cameras are pointing in the wrong direction every now and then, it’s not their fault.

It is not a bad idea, to have a variable bitrate. I captured the stream of cam 1 (kitchen) without somebody and the bitrate of the saved video was 300 kbps. With people moving it was 1400 kbps.
That means - as long as the cams are not busy the bandwith for the importend cams (where something changes) could be higher.

I tested and it never gets above a little more than 1000
It depends of how much changing in picture is to code. I once had three people there when i tested. With a setup of more MAX bandwith it also could be higher.
Just the fact, that no changing saves a lot of bandwith is what i wanted to point out.
Edit: That means, the cams, where something happens, could stream with 3000 or 4000 as max.
That could, of course, potentially become too much, when the house is full and people dancing in every room.
But at that low bandwidth regions it basically does not matter at all…
clichbait apartments end up getting largely ignored by subscribers.
