Western media present Russia as a very homophobic country but we see on VHTV a lot of openly gay participants and they are accepted by their straight friends. so Russia is a very gay friendly country and russian society is very inclusive of gay people…
Putin said that it isn’t illegal in Russia to be gay. What’s illegal is promoting non traditional sexual relationships to c___dren. Exactly the same reason why c___dren are not allowed to be present in appartments on VHTV.
Well I can only speak from the media in Germany and there is the tendency to see everything either black or white. It is basically this way in the mainstream media:
Europe / USA / NATO → Good
Russia / China / insert other non NATO country → bad
Of course there are also media who do not see it that way and make more differences. Each country has its specific problems. Some more and some less…
“The West” always wants to bring democracy and humanity to each country not knowing about the kind of life there and the specific traditions. That is the reason Afghanistan failed and Lybia failed too. Also Iraq.
Do not get me wrong I wish there would be democracy and human rights in every country of the world but this process takes time. And we do not achieve a thing with sanctions, pressure or even military action. We only make the people there we want to help even more angry at us…

I don’t think that the people we see here on VHTV represent the average Russian.
Beacuse LGBT websites should add 18+ disclaimer to comply with russian laws. Same thing as VHTV has 18+ dislcaimer in terms of service

Personnellement pas très fier de la 22ème place de la France (même si le mariage homo est légal et les agressions homophobes sévèrement punis , il y a encore beaucoup d’acte contre les gays et lesbiennes)
