Oh, I spoke too soon, indeed only the stopped version is playable. But maybe one can estimate the length of the recorded video by the file size of the duplicate. X megabyte = Y minutes. I’ll have to check if all VHTV stream recordings have the same overall bitrate.
no, that won’t work. the video bitrate may remain constant within a file, but the actual data volume is highly dependent on the amount of movement in the image. a “still image” of an hour is much smaller than a video of a group of people moving the whole time…

When I had a laptop that worked, I used Video DownloadHelper in Firefox religiously. It was the best recording software I had ever used, save for one exception. It would record from sites that other software wouldn’t touch, like Hotscopes.
I would also use OBS Studio by NCH sometimes. This was the exception. It was the only software I ever found that would record video in the background while you did something else on the same monitor. Since I only had one monitor on my laptop, it came in kind of handy.
I also use OBS for now, just post posted a test video in Camille apt. Out of time, but I’ll try out Video DownloadHelper in the weekend…

New approach. Sometimes, when I upload a more complex video edit, I like to talk about it a little. Vanity. As that goes somewhat off topic in the apartment discussions, maybe I should try to channel that stuff into this topic. So I uploaded this video to the Sylva and Carlson topic a while ago, if you want to know a little more about it, here you go. Once more you will see that brevity isn’t my strong suit. Also I could use a bit of feedback on a few points.
For those who don’t know them: Sylva and Carlson are a very promiscuous, happily swinging couple, host epic sex parties at their apartment, and sometimes professional porn shootings. I think Sylva may just be the hottest woman on VHTV, she’s very expressive in her sexuality or, in other words, goes off like a rocket. Dorien Falaise is a porn pro and he brings the right tool for the job. The other girl you see in this video is Junikta, a photograpehr who runs her own porn studio. Some of her footage is used in this video, Carlson had uploaded that to the forum.
Let’s talk about the music first. Ever since it was used in the trailer to Stanley Kubrick’s last film, “Eyes Wide Shut”, Chris Isaak’s “Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing” is stuck in my mind as one of those particularly sexy songs. That was 25 years ago. It’s a song and movie about cheating, and although Sylva isn’t being unfaithful to Carlson here (swingers), I have to wonder how easy it really is for him to sit idly by while his girlfriend is getting so thoroughly fucked by a hung-like-a-horse porn stud.
On a side note, isn’t it funny how much fuzz they made about their little sex party in that movie? All with passwords, masks and threats of dire consequences? We get to watch live broadcasts of such parties these days.
Anyway, once it came to my mind I just wanted to use that song in this video. Something clicked into place and it seemed like a perfect match for the beginning. First I had a longer live version of the song and filled the rest of the music track with blues rock instrumentals only, so the music wouldn’t be too distracting. But I couldn’t get it to work, the rythms of the blues rock clashed badly with the rythms of Sylva’s lustful exclamations, it just was a jumbled mess to listen to. I had to admit defeat and used some generic sexy background track instead.
But I wasn’t happy with it. I really, really wanted that song. One day at work I just couldn’t get that song out of my head. So I went back and did the music track a 3rd time. Now I used the shorter studio version of the song, so it would be over when Sylva really gets going. After that comes only the generic background track, which is much less obtrusive than the blues rock was. There’s something to be said for purpose-made background music.
What do you guys think of the sound mix? Is the music too loud or not loud enough? Would you prefer no music altogether? It’s difficult for me to judge at what volume most people would watch these porn videos. In my experience sometimes, at low volumes, the background music might almost be inaudible.
Now to the video part of this video. The main problem was that the camera coverage of this couch area isn’t nearly as good as it is in Sylva and Carlson’s bedroom. (You’ll find several scenes of Sylva and Carlson in their bedroom in my video gallery, link in my profile, so that’s what I compare this to.)
Of the three VHTV cameras, two show the couch from a very similar angle, so the variety of footage is limited. What’s really missing here is a reverse camera from behind the couch. Also the image quality of these webcams isn’t very good in this lighting, it doesn’t hold up very well to zooming in closely. That’s the real bottleneck of video quality here, not the limited bitrate available to stay within the forum’s file size limit with such a long video. You see the difference a better camera makes when the cellphone footage sets in.
For large parts of the video, with the limited variety of footage available, the choice of camera often was informed by the necessity to get as many good views of Sylva’s face as possible, because that’s where the emotions happen. Of Dorien we mostly only get to see his back side. It couldn’t be helped. At least he has a very photogenic back side.
To make things worse, there was footage missing. Camera 5, the one at the right side of the room, was offline for more than 2.5 minutes right in the heat of the action. That’s where I had to shorten the video.
Look at the clip from 7:07 to 7:48 in the video. At this time camera 5 was offline and the views from cams 3 and 4 were too similar, so it didn’t make sense to intercut between them. Staying on cam4 for 2.5 minutes would have totally killed the flow of the video. So I had to sacrifice some high intensity fucking and only could use a shorter segment of that. I chose it so that it would account for Sylva and Dorien’s change of position, and so that Sylva’s noise levels wouldn’t change too drastically at the cutting points.
You can see in the picture above how, as the video stream (blue) is composed of several shorter clips, the audio (green) is mostly uninterrupted. During the whole video I only use the audio from one single camera, without jumps in volume or background noise levels it makes a multi camera edit such as this much smoother to watch and listen too.
To gloss over the missing chunks of the scene here I had to make these two cuts as unobtrusive as possible. You see that in both cases the audio cuts to the sound of the next clip about two seconds before the video stream. Also these are no sharp cuts in the audio, the two little purple bars indicate short cross-fades from one audio clip to the next.
You may notice that during this clip I zoom in very closely on Dorien’s ass. That’s an attempt to cover up for Sylva’s legs being in the wrong position after the second cut.
There’s also another hidden time jump at 0:53; during the foreplay Sylva stepped out of frame for a while, then came back and they started over again with the kissing. You may notice that before this cut Sylva is kneeling on the couch, after the cut she’s standing in front of it. That’s why I start this clip zoomed in closer on their faces, then go wider to show her stroking his big cock. The cut in the audio is smoothed over with a cross-fade again. This, with the song playing to it, may be my favorite clip of the video.
What else is there to say about this video? That BLACKED logo is a joking reference to the videos by blacked dot com, who specialize in similar interracial videos. For best possible video quality I try to compile such longer videos as close as possible to the forum’s file size limit of 97.7 Mb, but on my Mac file sizes are indicated differently to Windows systems. Could somebody right-click-save the video and tell me the size as indicated on a Windows computer? I think it should be 96.6 Mb?
All in all this edit was a bit of a tough nut to crack, but I’m quite satisfied with how it turned in the end. Doesn’t feel like 16 minutes, does it? Thanks go to Sylva for simply being awesome and to Dorien for his strong performance, even though about two minutes of vigorous fucking are omitted from this video. Also thanks to the charming Junikta and Carlson for the cellphone footage, without it this edit wouldn’t have made sense.

Hot shot of Mira. The scene with the dog jumping off the bed doesn’t add any value for me personally. Zooming in a bit would probably make the video more interesting. I would have done the last cut after she got up from the bed. As the sound is essentially just the vibrator, you could also think about adding suitable music, although that’s always an issue when it comes to copyright. Just my opinion because you asked for feedback from the community. Your video isn’t bad.

Hi Antwan, as you’re asking for feedback, I see some good things here, but also some room for improvement.
A few technical things first, I don’t know which tools and methods you used to capture and edit this video, but it starts with a few black frames which is unfortunate, as the viewers in the forum don’t see a preview image inviting them to watch the video. So I’d try to get rid of those black frames and instead put a split second clip from the middle of the action at the beginning of the video. So people see that it isn’t about her lounging on the couch, but about masturbation. See the sermon I wrote about thumbnails somewhere above in this topic.
Your video has a framerate of 30 fps (frames per second) while the native framerate of VHTV video streams is only 25 fps. Using more than 25 fps will do nothing to improve the quality of your video, but it will make your files bigger than they need to be, limit you to shorter videos that you could otherwise do on VHTV.
As to the content of the video, Mira is a very beautiful woman to look at, but you will agree that there’s not much action happening here, not much motion. She’s holding the vibrator very steady, not fucking herself vigorously with a dildo. Also she is not making a lot of noise. With such calm action there is no need to rapidly cut from camera to camera, I’d say the frequency of your cuts seems about right here. But we have to work on keeping the viewer’s attention.
I see you cut the scene down from about twenty minutes to a reasonable length. Maybe it could be a bit shorter, still? I take it these are already the more exciting moments that you selected? You have to make the most of what little action there is. You could cheat here, because you don’t necessarily have to keep everything in chronological order. With the action being so uniform some clips are interchangeable. So if you take, for example, a sequence of spasms and use it twice in your video, from the different camera angles, I don’t think the casual viewer would notice.
Talking about spasms, again, to get the most out those and her facial expressions, the most important improvement would be to zoom in closer on her. I’m with Constantin there. You always have to evaluate how closely you want to, or can, zoom in without the image becoming too pixelated. The image quality in this scene is quite good, it gives you something to work with.
Taking it a step further, instead of only “reframing” the clips you can introduce some virtual camera movements. Like when you start a longer clip with the “camera” a bit further out an then slowly zoom in on the girl during the clip. In my experience this canreally make things more captivating. How you can do this obviously depends on your software, I had to watch some tutorial videos to understand how to do it with Shotcut, but I think it’s really worth the effort.
Constantin has another good point with the music. I think this video could work really well if you find the right, sensual song for it. You’d have to consider how loud you want to make the music in relation to the original sound, maybe adjust the respective volumes throughout the video to emphasize Mira’s lustful noises when she makes them.
Or, instead of a song, you could try some unobstrusive, generic background music to set the mood, like this which I have used in some videos. Of course there’s always the copyright question. What can I say, I have used some pop songs and have not been arrested, yet. As long as your video doesn’t go viral on a global scale, and you don’t make any money of it, I guess the music industry has bigger fish to fry than going after every little video in every dirty little forum on the internet.
… and I have written a whole essay again. Sorry, in this topic brevity just isn’t my strong suit. There’s so many things you can do with videos, but you don’t really have to do any this. If you enjoy editing videos, maybe try a few new things from time to time.

Even so, these are excellent suggestions and I appreciate them very much. I’m not likely to redo this video but I will keep these things in mind for the next video. That may be a while, I have a more “respectable” project underway that will keep me busy for several weeks.
As for tools, I used OpenShot to edit but the output file was way too big to upload. I used kdenlive to reduce the file size.

Nah, I’m not going to defile my iMmaculate iMac with a Windows partition for that. Besides, lately I’m not doing much editing anyway; those content purges have greatly dampened my enthusiasm, all the topics where I post my more ambitious edits seem to get erased.
That’s understandable, but it’s still a pity if you let it demotivate you.
