Lags and latest site problems

Sure, it obvious affects some users, but it’s also obvious that it doesn’t affect everyone. That makes things harder to identify and that’s why we need to have data from their end to see what do they have in common

I have a quick idea that it may be connected with Russian ISPs working on blocking VPNs, but it’s just a suggestion for now

For anybody interested Microsoft have introduced recently a little app called PC Manager which sits in your taskbar and you can open anytime and clear all redundant files.
Microsoft PC Manager - Download (lo4d.com)

You can also set up Edge to clear everything, caches and all, when you exit the browser or you can do it manually anytime you like from the Edge settings from here.

Clearing caches doesn’t always solve every problem but does help sometimes but it isn’t a cure for all ills.

Your suspicions may well be correct but there is something going on somewhere which seems to be obvious from all the people having problems.

Any diagnosis is a process of elimination of the obvious, so common sense says that you start with the most obvious solution and reevaluate after feedback from the customer.

A major problem is that this takes time and assistance from the customer with their feedback, and many just give up after the first or second support post.

I talk from the standpoint of working in IT support a few years ago, and it was one of the most frustrating jobs that I held when you genuinely want to help someone but don’t receive the feedback to assist them. :frowning:

Well computers problems are often like women where nothing is always logical
Sorry @kaya still love you really

Well I can never claim we DON’T HAVE global problem, it could easily be “we haven’t found we have one”

But what I was referring too was your comment

Yes, surely, sometimes support will ask you to clear cache first. It doesn’t mean you need to advise people ignore our actual support department and just leave comments on forum. Please just say that you did that and it didn’t help and describe your problem in details to proceed

I absolutely agree, that’s why I recommend to always contact our support by email since you have around 85% chance to get a reply by a male support and 0% chance here :kissing_heart:

Ok my dear hands suitably smacked and will bear your very valuable comments in mind for the future

well i say let it lag this damm world is moving to fast anyway . i like a clock that stops and starts intermittently , means i get more time to live :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:   time

I wasn’t advising people to do that but was just giving my view on what always seems to happen but i do take seriously all your points raised. :+1:

Jokes asides - 14.19 and 66 realm, anything else? I think I saw comments about 1 and 30 too, but I can’t reproduce it. I can confirm that it’s 99% connected with ISP, but we won’t be able to change a thing at least on 66 today.

Wow sounds wise. I’ll think of making it a canned response to be next after “clear your cache”

I will check now

  • 14: All good
  • 66: Very laggy and choppy
  • 19: No cam loading for me

Seriously, from my point of view (doesn’t happen very often lol), it seems to happen in most apartments from time to time, some it would appear to be more prone to it than others but there is nothing consistent to these little sudden freezes at all.

In case wasn’t notice, Tonk no longer is Realm19. He’s Realm55 now

55 is lagging too

All the exact same except 14 isn’t loading at all for me.

Yes lagging for me also.

That one basically since the opening

Nooooooo don’t believe it, must be your imagination
Here’s a suggestion, contact Support.
