Important when mixing filler is that you do not dump everything in the water as there will be clumps very hard to get rid off. Instead of that stray it in like you would do with powdered sugar

Also good to wet surface, spatula and trowel a bit with water before. Will make it a lot smoother.

And use stainless steel tools. Rust will form quickly and ruin your work otherwise.

Never heard of flash rust? When you work with s__tty tools and lay them aside for some time there will be a rust coating on the surface in no time. That is why I do not work with s__tty tools :wink:

Well having installed my own central heating system,built an extension etc etc may know a bit about things :joy:
Used to do all my own car repairs and servicing but looking under a bonnet these last few years thereā€™s nothing you can do except fill the washer bottle and put oil in :rofl:

Have done that too. Soon together with a friend will change the one from my neighbor. Parts are already there.

Well I change tires, can do brakes and oil change but when it comes to more my friend who is car mechanic will helpā€¦

Yeah it is a pain in the ass. I use these clamps you can tighten around them but it really is difficult.
